This is an installation of a FoxESS 5kW AC coupled inverter with 8.64kWh FoxESS battery storage for a residential customer in Cambridge. The customer had an existing solar PV generation system, and decided he wanted to store the energy rather than let it flow onto the grid.
Between us we decided on the FoxESS system because it is modular, 3 x 2.88kWh batteries, meaning the battery capacity can be increased at a later date if desired and also that if one battery develops a fault then it can disconnected from the stack whilst a repair is being carried out, whilst the other batteries can carry on working. This setup minimises the disruption to the customer and avoides a loss of the battery storage system during maintenance or repairs.
